The Client:

Design Future is a startup accelerator and funding platform specifically for designers. They offer designers who have great ideas for products and services, but lack the business know-how, the chance to bring their idea to life and get their business off the ground. Design Future hopes to inspire world-class innovation for businesses and society, and support new startups.

The Brief:

Design Future were looking to launch their brand and collect entries from potential designer-founders for the first round of funding. Our goal was to establish brand identity, build credibility through positive press and drive people towards the website to submit applications. 

Our Approach:

When it came to our PR approach for Design Future, we crafted two press releases to target different audiences and angles and put the Design Future team forward for relevant opportunities. 

Regular updates with the team allowed us to recalibrate our approach as they continued to develop their new business, helping to create a unified marketing strategy that allowed Design Future to develop its presence throughout the typically tricky early stages of a startup. 

Results: 

Within the 3 months, we achieved 7 placements, with a total combined online readership of 132K. 

Overall, Design Future received 36 applications for the first round of funding, of which they were able to submit strong candidates to investors.
