EY’s Local and Public Services Team, London.
The Brief:
EY approached Goho to create & deliver an event during a conference in Bournemouth attended by their key clients. EY wanted an intimate event where the team could engage with current clients & connect with potential new business leads.
Key Challenges:
Bournemouth has a limited selection of event venuesDuring the conference, different organisations host fringe-events all targeting the same people, so the event needed to be enticing in order to attract suitable clients.
Our Approach:
We decided to create a unique and memorable experience, focusing on quality, to secure attendance of EY’s core audience. We decided an intimate lunch would be the best setting for this and offer something different from other organisations hosting fringe-events.
We took care of every step from start to finish, from inviting Local Authority Directors to attend, to liaising with them regarding their dietary requirements, to adding special ‘Goho’ touches. For the event we hired a luxury minibus and transported all of EY’s attendees from the Conference Centre to a couple-run contemporary fine-dining restaurant, located just outside of Bournemouth. The venue, Roots Bournemouth, provided the perfect setting for an intimate lunch experience. Each of the 21 guests were treated to a spectacular 7 course tasting menu, using in-season, locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant also provided each guest with wine & beer pairings for each course, which really added to the experience. To make guests feel that extra special, we commissioned Handrawn London to personalise pebbles, collected from the Thames, with each attendees name. After lunch, we organised return transport back to the conference.
The Results:
Goho successfully secured attendance of 21 Local Authority Directors (With a target of 17)We succeeded in creating a quality networking experience for EY during an intimate and memorable event. We received excellent feedback from all the guests
