Event

The Brief

Interflora, a florist company, wanted to host an event to celebrate the relaunch of their newly refurbished office in Sleaford and bring their team back together after the pandemic. The company asked us to create an experience allowing 180 guests to explore the office and reconnect with their colleagues.

The Challenge

Our challenge was to create an experience that would allow and encourage guests to explore the office and circulate throughout the different rooms, and to avoid the feeling of being "at work" as the company wanted to use minimum decoration or extra elements, aiming to showcase the office as it would look like every day.

Our Approach

Our team came up with the concept of "The Sense of Connection," which involved creating experiences in different rooms of the office that would stimulate each of the five senses. 

For the sense of sound, we hosted a workshop about connection through music. This allowed guests to experience the power of music in bringing people together and creating a sense of connection.

For the sense of smell, we organised a journey through natural fragrances to choose Interflora's official scent. Guests were able to explore different scents and select the one that best represented the company.

For the sense of sight, we set up a magic mirror for themed selfies. This gave guests the opportunity to have some fun and capture memories of the event through photographs.

For the sense of taste, we provided a delicious grazing lunch. This allowed guests to enjoy a range of food and drink, satisfying their appetites and taste buds.

For the sense of touch, Interflora's florist led a workshop on making flower corsages. This provided guests with the opportunity to explore the tactile aspect of flowers and create a beautiful take-home gift.

To encourage guests to participate in all activities, we provided event guides and stamp cards, similar to a passport. After all the activities, the event concluded with a celebration featuring cake, champagne, and live music. Guests were also given chocolates and aroma diffusers with the official scent they chose to take home.

Results

The event was a success, with guests reporting that they had a great time and were happy to be there. Our team also enjoyed creating an experience that connected people and left the event with smiles on their faces.
