The Client:

Veena Giridhar Gopal is a highly experienced businesswoman with decades of leadership in the consumer goods sector. She is now embarking on a strategic search to acquire an established consumer goods business in UK or Republic of Ireland, ideally a company with EBITDA of between £1.5m and £10m across consumer goods categories including packaged food & beverages, personal care and cosmetics, home care and hygiene, and nutraceuticals and supplements.

She wants to be taken seriously as an acquirer, highlighting her experience and mission to position herself as an appealing buyer to business owners.

The Brief:

Goho assisted her search through PR support, securing strategic PR placements, establishing credibility and driving exposure to Veena’s brand, as well as managing her reputation.

Our Approach:

PR is important to ensure Veena gets seen and heard by her target business owner.

We did this by securing placements in media that would reach decision-makers in Veena’s target criteria (family-owned / founder-led companies in food, beverage, personal care and cosmetics, home care and hygiene, nutraceuticals and supplements).

We also made sure to position Veena on the radar of M&A and corporate finance firms, including those working with divestments from large corporations (e.g., Unilever). Thought pieces further established Veena as a respected, credible leader with a reputation for preserving legacy and delivering growth.

The Results:

By the end of the campaign, we secured a total of 18 placements, focusing on business thought leadership in her areas of speciality in food, beauty, and consumer goods. We secured 31.9k estimated views, with 188 engagements and a healthy average domain authority of 49.
