The Client:
More than just a magic night at a cocktail bar, The Magician’s Table is a theatrical experience based in London Bridge that invites guests into a fully immersive world, complete with richly-developed characters, a striking visual aesthetic, and amazing cocktails!
Executive Producer Tom Greenwood-Mears developed the concept of a memorial for the fictional, world-renowned magician Dieter Roterburg, alongside BAFTA and Olivier Award-winning writer Iain Sharkey.
The Brief:
The Magicians Table had a PR agency before, but have now enlisted Goho’s help to support their upcoming activations for the next 6 months with PR, particularly their charity collaboration with Breathe, taking place on October 17. This PR campaign will generate wider media coverage for The Magician’s Table, secure strong editorial reviews, and ultimately build brand awareness to drive audience attendance and investor interest for future fundraising efforts.
Our Approach:
The campaign’s objectives will be as follows:
Secure media coverage of the Breathe Charity Event: With a focus on securing Broadcast media.
Generate high-quality reviews: Getting journalists from top media to come and review the general show, building critical acclaim and generating content for use in The Magician’s Table’s marketing campaigns.
Increase awareness and drive attendance: Expand reach among target audiences to boost footfall and ticket sales by securing features with backlinks in publications with high domain authority,
Elevate the profile of the founders: Ensuring Tom and Iain are mentioned in media coverage, positioning them as innovative entrepreneurs and strengthening their credibility amongst potential investors in the entertainment and hospitality business.
The Results:
The campaign generated significant media interest across multiple activations, including the Breathe Charity Event, as well as Halloween, Christmas, and other seasonal programming.
We also highlighted the talented magicians performing in the show, raising their profiles and generating curiosity around the experience itself.
Alongside traditional PR, we activated Goho’s influencer network, inviting carefully selected creators to attend performances and generate social media coverage that expanded the show’s digital reach.
By the end of the six-month campaign, we secured 39 media placements across respected outlets including Daily Star, Metro, Marie Claire, Time Out, Bella, Good Housekeeping, Nudge, and more.
As a result of the campaign’s success, The Magicians Table retained Goho as their PR agency and also referred additional business to our team.
The Magicians Table wanted to reach a specific audience of thrill-seekers and people looking for something unique and immersive. Through targeted media coverage and influencer partnerships, we successfully positioned the experience as one of London’s most intriguing nights out.
The brand gained visibility across both local and national media, while effectively communicating its distinctive USP: a theatrical cocktail experience where storytelling, magic, and mixology come together.
