Vendor Spotlight: Fabio’s Kitchen

Over the years, we’ve partnered with some incredible event vendors — the kind who help us turn great ideas into unforgettable experiences. And we truly couldn’t do it without them. Caterers are a huge part of that… when we need event catering in London and corporate event caterers, there’s only a few we trust to get the job done!

One of them is Chef Fabio of Fabio’s Kitchen!

He’s a private chef who is seasoned in catering for events of any size. He can create a wide range of cuisines and offers everything from formal Fine Dining sit-down dinners to casual canapes or buffets, as well as roasts, brunch, barbeque, picnic boxes, charcuterie bowls, sushi boards, and afternoon tea… all tailored to suit the tone and style of your event.

He’s helped us in many events, including the wonderful charcuterie tables at the IFS cable car event!

We’ve had the pleasure of working with this extraordinary chef on multiple occasions, and his show-stopping charcuterie table is always a crowd (and client) favourite. It’s as delicious as it is Instagram-worthy.

We sat down with Fabio to chat about his journey into the culinary world and to get his top tips for crafting the perfect event menu.

Tell us about how you became a chef! How did you learn how to cook, what inspired you to become a chef?

From a very young age, I noticed that food was what brought my family and friends together around the table. It was always present—whether we were sharing stories, laughing out loud, or even shedding a few tears. Food created connection.

In my life, I could have pursued football or computer programming, but I found food—and with it, the greatest joy, happiness, and freedom to express myself. For over 20 years, I’ve been fortunate to experience the richness of this incredible industry. Today, those experiences allow me to deliver packages and menus that I’m confident you will savour with every mouthful.

Many of the women and men in my family cooked extraordinary meals daily, but my fondest memories are of my grandmother. I remember watching her prepare dishes, the aromas filling the kitchen from ingredients she had carefully chosen earlier that day. She is the biggest reason I am where I am today, and her influence continues to inspire everything I create.

What's your favourite dish to make, and what's a fan favourite menu?

To be honest, it’s hard to choose just one dish—there are so many I enjoy creating. I love fusing my African heritage with modern culinary techniques and flavours, bringing tradition into a contemporary setting. I’m also passionate about Asian cuisine, because of the challenge and artistry in balancing its deep, intense flavours and complex recipes.

If I were to design a favourite menu, it would begin with fresh tiger prawns grilled on the barbecue, followed by a slow-cooked pork ramen with udon noodles, and finished with pain perdu served alongside a rich vanilla ice cream. It’s a menu that reflects my love for bold flavours, cultural fusion, and a touch of indulgence at the end.

Company Social - Grazing Table

A grazing table is such a showstopper for events—it’s more than just food, it’s an experience. Think of it as a beautifully styled spread that encourages guests to mingle, graze, and enjoy a variety of flavours at their own pace.

Here are some elements that make a grazing table truly memorable:

  • Visual abundance: Layered platters, boards, and bowls overflowing with food create a sense of generosity.

  • Variety of textures: Mix crisp crackers, soft cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruits, roasted nuts, and dips.

  • Seasonal produce: Highlight what’s fresh and local - berries in summer, figs in autumn, citrus in winter.

  • Height and dimension: Use stands, boards, and greenery to add depth and make the table visually dynamic.

  • Balance of flavours: Sweet, savoury, salty, and tangy elements all in harmony.

  • Personal touches: Infuse your heritage or signature style—like African-inspired spiced nuts or Asian dipping sauces—to make it unique to you.

For Fabio’s Kitchen, a grazing table could be a perfect way to showcase your fusion style: imagine smoked meats with African spice rubs, Asian-inspired dumplings or bao buns, alongside classic European cheeses and breads. It would tell your story through food while delighting guests with choice and discovery.

What's a tip you would give to event organisers on how to provide the best catering service for their event?

For me, the most important step before any event is to sit down and talk with my client. That personal conversation allows me to truly understand their vision and how they want their event to come to life. It makes the planning process smoother and ensures I can deliver a service that feels tailored and meaningful. Every client has a unique idea, and I find great joy in listening to those individual visions and bringing them to reality. Catering isn’t just about food—it’s about connection, trust, and creating an experience that reflects each client’s personality and goals.
