Sage’s London and Northampton Christmas Parties
Ain’t no party like a Goho Christmas party, and this year, Sage trusted us to prove it.
We were tasked with delivering two unforgettable corporate Christmas parties for large housing company Sage Housing’s teams in London and Northampton, and let’s just say… challenge accepted.
From the start, Sage knew exactly what they wanted:
Something fun and festive
A seated three-course Christmas lunch
An engaging activity
Time an AV equipment for a company presentation celebrating the year’s achievements and motivating the team for what’s next
We always recommend booking Christmas party venues (or even just regular corporate socials, staff parties and employee perks events) months in advance (sometimes even a year ahead !), but luckily Sage were absolute troopers and came to us back in July. That early planning meant we could secure the perfect venues, entertainment, and logistics, with no last-minute panic.
Booking the Entertainment
What's the entertainment for the event?
We threw around a few ideas:
Slime-making (messy but iconic)
Trivia
Taskmaster-style challenges
Even a full Traitors-inspired game show!
But in the end, they chose our personal favourite: Bingo.
Not your nan’s bingo, though. We sourced a brilliant vendor who offered multiple formats (musical bingo, movie bingo, classic rounds) making it flexible, inclusive, and perfect for a corporate Christmas crowd.
The Northampton Party
First stop: Northampton, with around 140 guests expected.
We scouted city-central venues that could:
Host a large seated lunch
Accommodate bingo entertainment
Offer great food
Be easily accessible for guests travelling in
The winner? Delta Hotels by Marriott, Nottingham.
They provided a spacious function room with built-in AV (essential for bingo), plus we secured 27 hotel rooms for guests travelling in, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience!
The London Party
Next up: London, with 100 guests.
We pulled a few Goho strings and secured The Bloomsbury Hotel, booking:
Queen Mary Hall for the reception and opening speeches
George V Hall for the main event
The George V Hall deserves its own paragraph. An ornate, elegant space with genuinely some of the best wallpaper we’ve ever seen… already dressed with Christmas decorations, no less.
We added festive extras like:
Christmas crackers
Themed seating charts
Cohesive event styling throughout
Meanwhile, our on-site team worked behind the scenes, smoothing out any service hiccups and keeping everything running seamlessly.
Two cities. Two venues. One very happy client.
